John Edwards And A Perfect Score

August 17, 2008 · 3 Comments

First 100 score EVER attained by anyone on Newsweek’s Dignity Index.  A score sadly reflecting John Edwards personal lifestyle choices during the Democratic presidential primaries.   The Dignity Index measures just how low a person can go on dubous behavior, on a scale of 1 to 100.

According to Newsweek dated August 25, 2008,

John Edwards outclassed the competition by cheating on his wife, who has cancer, and then lying about it during the campaign.

This indeed is an index no one ever wishes to be listed upon.

Howard Dean Slip-Up, GOP Party, “The White Party”

August 17, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Was it a slip-up?  Or is this what Howard Dean thinks deep down?

According to Jake Tapper of ABC News,

In an interview with National Public Radio on Friday August 15, 2008, Howard Dean, the chairman of the Democratic National Committee, referred to the Republican Party as the white party, seemingly accidental.

“If you look at folks of color, even women, they’re more successful in the Democratic Party than they are in the white, uh, excuse me, in the Republican Party,” Dean said, chuckling, “because we just give more opportunity to folks who are hard-working people who are immigrants and come from members of minority groups.”

Not amused, the Republican GOP quickly responded,

“Howard Dean’s comments on race and gender today are disappointing and wrong,” said Republican National Committee chairman Mike Duncan in a statement. “His efforts to divide Americans are an insult to all our nation’s citizens and have absolutely no place in the national dialogue.”

Phil Brenan at Newsmax noted,

It wasn’t the first time he’s made a similar charge. Speaking to a forum in June 2005 in San Francisco Dean said that Republicans are “a pretty monolithic party. They all behave the same. They all look the same. It’s pretty much a white Christian party.”

Hmmm.  Subliminal process in action?  Or cloistered belief?

Change. It’s Worth Standing In Line For.

Hope and change just an election away?

According to Greg Theriault, Obama’s change would move U.S. to socialism.  Great story at The Morning Sentinel in Maine.

Barack Obama, the most liberal U.S. senator says, he stands for change.

He would change the top tax bracket to 40 percent, and would apply FICA taxes to all income thus creating a 60 percent tax bracket for upper-income Americans.

He would change to double the capital gains tax and dividend tax, saddling the 50 percent of Americans who own stock with dramatically higher taxes.

He would change to cover 12 million illegal immigrants with federally subsidized health insurance, driving up costs and causing government health-care rationing.

You will not be permitted certain medical procedures unless bureaucrats decide when and if you’re worth it, like in the U.K. and Canada.

He would change to requiring Homeland Security operatives to notify terror suspects that they are under investigation within seven days. He says that it must be shown that there is “probable cause to believe that a certain individual is linked to a specific terrorist group,” to seize documents and search businesses. Currently the standard is that the search be “relevant” to a terror investigation.

He is not opposed to $5-per-gallon gasoline but only says that he wishes there had been a more “gradual adjustment” to the higher prices.

His change will kill all initiative, innovation and the entrepreneurial spirit of America, thus costing untold numbers of jobs.

Want change, that’s what you will end up with, only change in your pocket.

The Democratic Party’s liberalism has been replaced by Obama’s socialism.
