Obama’s DNC Stadium Raises Eyebrows

Wow.  Sooooooooo much written about the upcoming Democratic presidential nominee’s acceptance speech at the Denver Bronco’s Invesco Field on August 28, 2008.  A stage similar to that used for rock concerts, elaborate faux columned stage with elevating platform, fireworks, actress and national anthem singer Jennifer Hudson from Oscar Academy Award fame, with 80,000 watching in the arena.  Barack Obama’s ego knows no limits.

And the DNC’s bulging zillion dollar packed pocketbook, courtesy of the Democratic supporters of the United States and anywhere else in this world the DNC and Barack Obama accepts cold hard cash from, are footing this bill.  Think about that the next time your favorite candidate or the DNC comes knocking and asking for a hand-out.  The comments speak for themselves.

Whereas some believe the stage is a faux temple, others believe it is a faux Lincoln Memorial, faux White House,   faux _________ (fill in the blank), Gateway Pundit says it is fashioned after the Russian Kazan Cathedral in St. Petersburg.  Yes, it sure does look the same.

How about the full-scale replica of Air Force One fuselage at the convention? It is actually part of a presidential exhibit at the DNC.  Designed to give you the experience of the real deal.

Obama still has to fly around in his own plane though.   The one he had the American flag removed from the tail and his own logo placed instead.

With all the hoopla, maybe Obama ought to rethink his acceptance speech drama.  Jeff Zeleny of the New York Times brings up a striking and contrasting point, since Obama has been furiously working on his acceptance speech.

“I’m not aiming for a lot of high rhetoric,” Mr. Obama told reporters the other day as he began making his way to Denver. “I am much more concerned with communicating how I intend to help middle-class families live their lives.”

Emperor Norton II at Perspectives, sums this Obama Hollywood prodution with a cast of thousands, best by saying,
