The pest control is never strong enough to get all those cockroaches.  And that is why cockroaches abound.  Some people are consumed by the desire to make some sort of revelations about Sarah Palin, without regards to privacy.   An anonymous hacker admitted to breaking into Sarah Palin’s private Yahoo email account.  Screenshots of private emails and two of her children’s photos were posted by an internet site.  No scandalous material was found.

Obviously the work of some cockroach intent on looking for some decaying morsel to bite.  Interesting that Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin has so revolutionized the 2008 presidential campaign, that those out to find any tidbit of potentially scandalous information, will possibly find themselves at the other end of a federal investigation for possible crime.  And there wasn’t even anything juicy in the emails, hacker!

Bill O’Reilly at Fox and Gateway Pundit note,

He says he will call the FBI and Attorney General on the culprits who broke into her private account and the liberal bloggers who posted her private information!

Wired notes,

FBI spokesman Brian Hale said, “The FBI is aware of the alleged hacking incident involving Alaska Governor Sarah Palin and is coordinating with the United States Secret Service on the matter.”

Timenotes the McCain-Palin campaign statement:

This is a shocking invasion of the Governor’s privacy and a violation of law. The matter has been turned over to the appropriate authorities and we hope that anyone in possession of these emails will destroy them. We will have no further comment.

Why yes, Michelle Malkin points out,

Hacking e-mail is a federal crime. A TV anchor who broke into his colleague’s e-mail account recently pleaded guilty and faces a maximum five years in prison.

The Political Junkie succintly points out,

Sounds like someone will be in need of a good (or sleazy) lawyer.

Yes, because there is a great spa and treatment for vermin of this type out there.

More details of how the hack job went down, per Michelle Malkin’s additional post and Uppity Woman.  WELL WORTH THE READ.

And now it seems that the FBI is hot on the trail of the perpetrator, per Newsmax and McNorman’s Weblog.

So hold on to your seats!  There is information from Wired out that reveals the hacker as a college student in Tennessee, whose father is a Democratic state representative in TennesseeFree Republic via Knox News has information revealing that Tennessee State Representative Mike Kernell is aware of rumors that his son, David Kernell, is being investigated.  Hot Air cautions against assigning guilt just yet, as the story evolves.  Gateway Pundit notes rubico10@yahoo.com is possibly the hacker, and includes several screenshots of student and father.

Computerworld lists Gabriel Ramuglia of Athens, Georgia, as the webmaster of Ctunnel proxy service, as actively cooperating with the FBI in this investigation by providing web logs of data for analysis.  A screenshot posted by the hacker previously, had demonstrated the web address of ctunnel.com.  Ctunnel’s proxy service cloaks users as anonymous.

Fox News notes that not only was Sarah Palin’s private email accesssed, but that the private e-mail accounts of her family and staff were also compromised.
