Barack Obama raises stunning $150 million in September.
Barack Obama is running for President, but he’s already the king of campaign cash.
Obama raised an eye-popping, record-shattering $150 million last month, propelling his overallWhite House money haul to $605 million.
The brimming war chest gives Obama a huge advantage over GOP rival John McCain for get-out-the-vote efforts and TV spots in the closing days of the race – he’s already bought 30 minutes of prime time Oct. 29 on CBS, Fox and NBC.
Rather than fund-raise in the runup to Election Day, McCain opted to accept – and be restricted to – $84 million in public money.
Wall Street Journal Washington Wire.
…South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham, …criticized Obama’s decision–four months ago–to opt out of the public financing system
“John McCain could’ve opted out of public financing but he had one little problem with that, he promised people he wouldn’t,” Graham said. “Apparently that doesn’t bother our opponent.”
McCain campaign manager Rick Davis likewise levied a campaign finance attack on Obama today. The Illinois senator reported raising a staggering $150 million in September, and the McCain campaign is seeking to ratchet up pressure for Obama to disclose donors who have contributed less than $200. There is no law requiring disclosure for small donors, which make up a considerable amount of Obama’s record-shattering fund-raising in this election.
Obama’s campaign fundraising has certainly raised eyebrows, both for the amount, the illegal nature of many contributions, and the shady nature of many small contributions he has refused to reveal additional information.
ABC News Political Punch. Getting back to his real estate dealings with former political fund raiser, friend, and convicted felon on corruption charges, Antoin “Tony” Rezko. Recall Obama bought his house for under the asking price, while Rezko’s wife simultaneously bought the adjacent lot for over the asking price, from the same seller. Obama later purchased the land at what he claims was “fair market” price. Not so fast. He could not afford it when it up for sale, but suddenly could when Rezko’s wife was selling?
Shady money dealings with Rezko seem to have been an early indication of Obama’s money management. The resulting campaign fund raising, all with the trappings of fraud coming in from across the world, and the small donations in this country from anyone who has a credit card, make suspicious anything associated with that money. Hence, the tainted run and purchase for the White House.

Hey
Well I guess we are entering the final stretch
. As always it will come down to the swing voters, though I have to admit that I have never seen a presidential race loose as much steam in its final moments as this one has. Once again we seem to be choosing between the lesser of two evils and we are simply shooting for everyone to walk away unhappy
. Regardless of your political affiliation I would simply encourage you to get out and VOTE on November fourth, and show your support for American political institutions.
