White House Deputy Press Secretary Punts Obama Birth Certificate Question

Ever the conundrum of how to deal with that touchy subject of Barack Obama’s birth certificate.  The real one.  It is almost as though it is contaminated with the plague.  Don’t touch, lest be devoured by it.

And so Deputy Press Secretary Tony Fratto reacted when cornered by a reporter, November 24, 2008.  One Lester Kinsolving of the White House Press Corps dared so ask the plague-laden question about the birth certificate.  A slick question slipped in edgewise.

Q Thank you, Tony. Two questions. There’s been extensive media coverage of where the two Obama daughters will attend school. And my question: The White House believes that they should be able to attend the school their parents select without criticism because it’s private rather than public, don’t you?

MR. FRATTO: I think we support all parents making that decision.

Q Good. The CEO of WorldNetDaily has called on the President-elect to release a birth certificate listing the hospital and names of parents. The White House believes that this would fully satisfy the constitutional requirement, don’t you?

MR. FRATTO: I don’t think I have anything to say on that, Lester, and I think we’re going to end it right there.

America’s Right via Israpundit, brought up the point about Kenyan Ambassador confirms Obama was born in Kenya.  Kenyan Ambassador to the United States, His Excellency Peter Ogego, admitted in this radio interview that Barack Obama was born in Kenya! Listen to audio here.

When WRIF “Mike In The Morning” Mike Clark (Michigan Radio Talk Show) Co-Host asked if there was going to be a marker where Barack Obama was born in Kenya, the Kenya Ambassador Ogego said his birthplace in Kenya “is already an attraction.”

Next question to Ambassador Ogego was: Will they put up a marker at Obama’s birthplace there? Ogego affirmed: “it’s already well known!”

His Excellency Peter Ogego, Kenyan Ambassador to the United States admitted in this radio interview that Barack Obama was born in Kenya!

Gee.  In Kenya, they can’t stop talking about Obama and his supposed birth in Kenya.  In the United States, no one can get anyone with authority to utter anything of significance.   Attorney Leo Donofrio may well have the ability to get the Supreme Court of the United States to offer something over his lawsuit however.  The case has been fast tracked along an unusual route for most cases, and will be “Distributed for Conference for December 5, 2008.”  All nine justices are set to be present for this review.

That nagging question has been brought up by Joseph Farah at World Net Daily as well.  Where’s the birth certificate?

Until last week, no one in the Obama camp would even comment on the controversy surrounding his complete birth certificate, which has never been released publicly. That changed after much hounding by WND staffers who managed to get one official Obama representative to proclaim – anonymously, I might add – that seven lawsuits filed by citizens trying to secure the birth certificate are “pure garbage.”

What possible motivation could Obama have for not producing this simple, innocuous document that every citizen must produce to get a passport, driver’s license or Social Security card?

Great questions.  Very simple way to put the issue to rest.  Will the real birth certificate please stand up?
