Seems like a certain 55-year old male relative of some girls in Pharr, Texas has reportedly been having his way with two girls. The nine-year old has hope, she made that clear by writing a letter to Santa Claus wanting the male relative to leave them alone. The Monitor.
The years of sexual abuse allegedly occurred in the girl’s own bedroom while family members slept.
A counselor at the school “reported that the student had turned in a wish list to Santa wishing for her (relative) to stop touching her and her sister,” according to a probable cause complaint.
The folks over at Cesar Chavez Elementary School must have been stunned to read that letter to Santa. The counselor reported the problems and turned the letter into police.
The girl was interviewed and revealed the details of the molestations to authorities, the day after her letter to Santa, dated December 11th, was turned in. Fox.
The complaint says investigators believe the molestation occurred over a period of four years.
The man is charged with continuous sexual abuse of a young child and could face as many as 99 years in prison if convicted.
No word yet on whether the accused may be writing a similar letter to Santa from jail. Obviously this man never learned, “You sow what you reap.”
May Santa Claus indeed bring safety and peace to those two South Texas girls. May their lives be forever free of the torment they have been suffering.

Rahm’s low profile after revelations were made about his contact and discussions with Rod Blagojevich, about who would fill Barack Obama’s Senate seat, have fueled water cooler discussion. Blagojevich has already been caught on federal wire tapped conversations discussing how the seat could be filled by someone interested, if his decision-making process was lubricated to the tune of his own personal gain.
One would logically ask, what Rahm was doing discussing Obama’s replacement, given Blagojevich’s actions, when Rahm was currying enough political favor with Obama to be named his Chief of Staff in the White House.

U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald is in prosecutorial overdrive to get an indictment. Since there was no grand jury on this case, he has 20 days to obtain a preliminary hearing or the indictment. It appears that Fitzgerald had significant information from wiretapped conversations, that it was more important to arrest Blagojevich for attempting to sell for personal gain, Barack Obama’s Illinois Senate seat, than to allow Blagojevich to proceed with making a possibly illegally influenced appointment himself.
