In a recent interview with Sean Hannity, Representative Louie Gomert (R-Texas) discussed the “Spendulus Bill” promulgated by President Barack Obama and the Democrats.
There is an atmosphere of arrogance in Washington.
Senator John Kerry, regarding putting more money in American hands: “If you put a tax cut in the hands of a business or family there’ s no guarantee that they are going to invest that or invest it in America. They are free to invest anywhere they want.”
Kerry’s statement is quite revealing of his mentality regarding Americans. Gomert handily pointing to the inference Kerry was fueling.
So therefore you can’t trust the American people.
Gomert wryly noted.
The American people know they are trustworthy.
If the American people will let the Republicans back in charge, the 60% of this bill that won’t be spent until after the next election, we’ll cut it off and let it go to the Americans.
He [Obama] is right, There’s not a singe earmark in this bill. It’s chock full of earmarks!
