Artisan Baker Creates Edible Bread Body Parts

The beauty of art is that it can take the form and shape of almost anything.  Some of the most basic things in life can actually be molded into an art form.  Of sorts.

Even the least expected.  In ways not usually considered.

Artist and baker Kittiwat Unarrom from Ratchaburi, Thailand uses dough to sculpt body parts.  And sells quite a few of them.  See how  hands, feet, and faces take on a new dimension.  An edible one at that.

“Gruesome” and “morbid” were among the adjectives used to describe his sculptures – hands hung on meat hooks, feet piled on cooling racks – but the artist, unruffled as usual, explained the gore was all down to perception, the entry to concepts that were actually deeply Buddhist.

Check out ARTIST USES HIS LOAF at Bangkok Post to see the art work on display, and the artist discuss his work.
