The reality behind health care reform has been crystallizing for many over the past few months. Vocal critics have come out to protest what they believe to be an unjust attempt by the President, and the Democratic majority in the House of Representatives and the Senate, to ram rod their legislation at breakneck speed, so no one will actually know what they are unloading upon America.
Opponents comprised of conservatives, independents, moderates, and liberals concerned with the content and manner in which legislation is being advertised, have risen to protest. Typically with word or mouth vigor, hand-made protest signs, and the freedom of speech to make themselves be heard. Grassroots style. Many liberals have viewed the protests as an opportunity to squelch their voices, in attempts to disguise the opposition as a minority in opinion and as a group with selfish pretense. A false portrayal based on organized chicanery.
Here is one woman’s explanation of the events that really occurred at a town hall meeting in Belgrade, Montana on August 14, 2009, featuring the President and his entourage. The version from within the sanitized confines of the ”town hall” is giddy with glee, not quite the version with numerous protesters close by. The press often tends not to focus on indepth protest type stories. Freedom of speech however resonates to expose the “Smoke and Mirrors.”
If indeed the contents of this email are true, than the pro health care reform supporters have relayed their deceitful tactics to the public, yet once again, in the name of pushing an agenda. Speech text here. Names changed per request. Snopes mixture analysis here.
