Hillary for Vice President? WSJ.
Looks like the Democrats may just be looking for a breath of new life now that Barack Obama has had his play time in the White House amount to disaster. Obama is tanking in the polls.
Pourquoi? The country is in upheaval over the out of control spending, plunging deficits, persistently high unemployment, stimulus bills that have not produced significant impact on the anemic economy, wildly unpopular health care reform supported only by the Democrats, and a puzzling inability to uphold the laws of this country on immigration as they go after Arizona for attempting to get the feds to do their jobs with the same laws. Oh, forgot to mention the biased approach of the Justice Department in letting voter intimidation slide past the Voting Rights Act law in Philadelphia in 2008, because the violators were The Black Panthers.
The era of hope and change transcending race has obviously not materialized as promised. Therefore, time to look for an excuse. Throw someone under the bus. Joe Biden appears to be a good ritualistic sacrifice. VP gaffe galore. Let SOS Hillary come in and clean up Barry’s mess. She is the only one working on the Dems side. Still keeping professionalism and the high road as priorities. The woman would be wise to stay far, far away. As in no closer to the reactor in Chernobyl than the other side of the world.
If she knows what is good for her, she will keep on trucking right past those who have annihilated themselves already. The Republicans pegged it sqaurely.
‘Look, you hired this guy. He was too young for this job. He didn’t know what he was doing. He didn’t have the experience, and look what’s happened.’”

Agents’ union disavows leaders of ICE. Washington Times.
The union that represents rank-and-file field agents at U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has unanimously passed a “vote of no confidence” for the agency’s leadership, saying ICE has “abandoned” its core mission of protecting the public to support a political agenda favoring amnesty.
The resolution said ICE leadership had “abandoned the agency’s core mission of enforcing U.S. immigration laws and providing for public safety,” instead directing its attention “to campaigning for programs and policies related to amnesty and the creation of a special detention system for foreign nationals that exceeds the care and services provided to most U.S. citizens similarly incarcerated.
The union also noted the following. Which explains the non plusse approach by ICE on illegal immigration. Looks like they have their hands tied. They have a job. But no authority to do anything more than appear like they are enforcers. No muscle behind the hand.
There usually has to be quite an overwhelming amount of dissatsfaction among union members in order to get a unanimous vote on any topic. They have spoken. Uniformly.
Will those who refuse to enforce the nation’s immigration laws, continue to turn a deaf ear to the plight of rank and file ICE?

The Obama presidency increasingly resembles a modern-day Ancien Régime: extravagant and out of touch with the American people. The Telegraph. They pegged the issue dead on. Nice of the Brits to do that for the American press.
…the extravagance and arrogance on display among the White House elites that rule America as though they had been handed some divine right to govern with impunity.
But shall we give te benefit of the doubt? A mom and daughter trip? That is a tough request. If it wasn’t such a blatant disregard for the casual and indiscriminate use of American taxpayers’ money for personal play, maybe the public might have an ounce of consideration. But that is not to be.
It is the kind of impunity that has been highlighted on the world stage this week by Michelle Obama’s hugely costly trip to Spain, which has prompted a New York Post columnist Andrea Tantaros to dub the First Lady a contemporary Marie Antoinette. As The Telegraph reports, while the Obamas are covering their own vacation expenses such as accommodation, the trip may cost US taxpayers as much as $375,000 in terms of secret service security and flight costs on Air Force Two.
The timing of this lavish European vacation could not have come at a worse moment, when unemployment in America stands at 10 percent, and large numbers of Americans are fighting to survive financially in the wake of the global economic downturn. It sends a message of indifference, even contempt, for the millions of Americans who are struggling just to feed their families on a daily basis and pay the mortgage, while the size of the national debt balloons to Greek-style proportions.
Well now that Michelle Obama has come back home to catch all the heat over that splash in Spain, an excuse must be served. How convenient that it took all this time to come up with one. But it isn’t the actual excuse, so much as it is the speed at which it made it out to the public for cover. It should have emanated from the White House much sooner than after the trip back home, and the subsequent sting felt coming off the taxpayer-paid plane with taxpayer paid Secret Service agents.
Why Michelle Obama Vacationed in Spain: To Be With Grieving Friend. Politics Daily AOL.
The Spain vacation put the first dent in her brand since becoming first lady. She was criticized for choosing Spain’s Costa del Sol instead of the Gulf Coast, where tourism is hurting because of the BP oil spill; for going on another vacation when people in the U.S. face tough economic times; and for incurring taxpayer expenses for the trip.
Ya think?!?

ObamaCare Is in Big Trouble. RCP.
“While this case raises a host of complex constitutional issues,” Hudson wrote, “all seem to distill to the single question of whether or not Congress has the power to regulate – and tax – a citizen’s decision not to participate in interstate commerce.”
As Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli observed, “The government cannot draft an unwilling citizen into commerce just so it can regulate him under the Commerce Clause.”
ObamaCare’s mandate redefines the individual’s relationship to Washington, D.C. If it can compel Americans to buy health insurance, why can’t it force each American to join a gym or eat bran?
This after Missouri overwhelmingly voted by a 3 to 1 margin to nix any mandate on its state residents to purchase Obamacare. It is crystal clear. States Rebelling Against ObamaCare. Forbes.
Even so, the Freedom of Choice in Health Care Act demonstrates the popular will. If the majority of states are fighting ObamaCare, that says the public doesn’t want what Obama is selling.
Politicians may ignore some of the voters some of the time, but they can’t ignore most of the voters all of the time. And that’s exactly what the Obama administration and the Democratic leadership have been doing.
But will the willfully malicious Democrats in Washington, D.C. continue to force their poisonous agenda on the citizenry that do not want it?
