EDITORIAL: Obamacare R.I.P. WT.
It is possible if voters take to the polls with the mission of pulling the rug out from Obamacare’s enablers. Kick out the incumbents who supported it, and elect people who will take the people’s will seriously, and simply defund it. Repeal would be an option if presidential veto was off the table, but that really is not likely until at least after 2012.
Is Obamacare an ever worsening concept in health care?
Perhaps the most comprehensive critique can be found in “Fresh Medicine,” a new book by Tennessee Gov. Phil Bredesen, a Democrat. In a year in which he isn’t even running for re-election, Mr. Bredesen pulls few punches. “Congress and the Obama administration have just added over 30 million people into an obsolete and broken system and done little to address the underlying problems; in multiple ways, they’ve made them worse,” he wrote. “Worse” is an understatement. Lower quality health care, higher costs, more complexity and more regulations would be Obamacare’s legacy.

Many voters are hoping the results of the mid-term elections will bring some fresh faces and positive change to America. Looks like the hope and change promised by the victors in 2006, did not quite come to fruition with what America wanted or needed. … A politician who campaigned against cynicism in politics cynically used the nation’s economic predicament to advance liberal political causes.
The result has been a train wreck: A health-care plan that is increasing insurance costs, prompting companies to look at dropping coverage for employees, and hampering employee tax-free and health-savings accounts for medical spending. A combination of Federal Reserve moves and regulatory reform that was supposed to rein in Wall Street is putting free bank checking for the middle class on the road to extinction. A stimulus package promising to keep unemployment below 8 percent left 14 million unemployed and the jobless rate at 9.6 percent. And, by the way, housing prices are showing signs of weakness again, and economists fear that they could end up being below the already depressed levels of 2009.
Such is what the nation has reaped from Obamanomics.
That is probably in large part why 65% Favor Getting Rid of Entire Congress and Starting Over. Rasmussen.
Will the mid-term elections bring representatives into the equation that can spearhead beneficial policies for the country, and undo some of the major disasters invoked by those in office so far? It’s time.

Indian Just Want Coffee. Also at The Jazzman with images.
An Indian walks into a cafe with a shotgun in one hand and pulling a male buffalo with the other.
He says to the waiter: “Want coffee.”
The waiter says, “Sure Chief. Coming right up.”
He gets the Indian a tall mug of coffee…..
The Indian drinks the coffee down in one gulp, turns and blasts the buffalo with the shotgun, causing parts of the animal to splatter everywhere and then just walks out.
The next morning the Indian returns. He has his shotgun in one hand, pulling another male buffalo with the other.
He walks up to the counter and says to the waiter: “Want coffee.”
The waiter says, “Whoa, Tonto! We’re still cleaning up your mess from yesterday. What was all that about, anyway?”
The Indian smiles and proudly says, “Training for position in United States Congress. Come in, drink coffee, shoot the bull, leave mess for others to clean up, disappear for rest of day.”

Across the country, anger, frustration and fear among voters as election nears.
Travel through the political battlegrounds in these final days before Election 2010, and it becomes clear how much the tenor of this recession-plagued country has changed in the two years since Barack Obama was elected president on his message of hope and change.
Let us count the ways. Here are but a few.

This summarizes the behavior of elected Democrats over the past two years quite well.
For months, voters have been signaling their discontent with the president, his party, and their priorities; in less than a week, they appear poised to deliver a stinging rebuke. Yet rather than address the voters’ concerns with seriousness and respect, too many Democrats and their allies on the left have chosen instead to slur those voters as stupid, extremist, or too scared to think straight.
Elected officials think they are above direct responsibility to those who voted them into office, and to those who did not, but they represent just the same. Newsflash: nope!
Democrats and Republicans would be wise to pay attention the following.
Heading into next week’s elections, Americans remain a center-right nation, with solid majorities believing that the federal government is too intrusive and powerful, that it does not spend taxpayer’s money wisely or fairly, and that Americans would be better off having a smaller government with fewer services.
Let’s see if those elected will pay heed. Voters will be watching and will hold them accountable. As they will be doing this election at the voting booth. And every election thereafter.

Desperate times, call for desperate measures. Looks like the Democrats are in need of mid term election votes. If they can’t convince a voter with worthwhile reasons to support a candidate, they will just provide incentive with money, free food, and free gift cards. Democrats don’t look good if they really are bribing voters into supporting their candidates. How very irresponsible, in fact.

Two days ago, the Democratic Secretary of State announced that voters can be provided “free food” at “voter turnout events.” Harry Reid has been offering free food and, according to other reports, some Democratic allies such as teachers’ unions are offering gift cards in return for a vote for Reid.

Rep. Robert Brady (D-PA), Chariman of the Philadelphia Democratic Party, was on MSNBC with Andrea Mitchell this morning. He was explaining how the Philadelphia machine was working to ensure Joe Sestak’s victory in the closely watched Senate race in Pennsylvania. Ms Mitchell asked, “What is the secret here to turn out? In the old days, the old machine days, what we called ‘walking around money,’ handing out money to get people to vote. Is it still the case? What do you do, what is the magic in Philadelphia?”
Rep. Brady (who looks and sounds like he came right out of central casting for the part of shady, party boss) shockingly acknowledged that the cash-on-the-streets strategy is not an antiquity but still part of the Democratic Machine’s playbook in 2010: “We still have the street money and we’re very knowledgeable,” he said.
Democrats continue to spiral in their integrity. They openly espouse dispicable methods in the insatiable quest to retain power. Are these Democrat candidates really worthy of election to represent America? Think twice in the voting booth.
