Obama: ‘If They Bring a Knife to the Fight, We Bring a Gun’. WSJ. 2008.
Words can become weapons in the wrong hands. One with good judgment would castigate incendiary expressions aside. What happens when an adult who is supposed to have acquired a modicum of good judgement and maturity by the time he is in his late 40′s, who is running for the highest elected office in the land, wields words with thuggish connotations with potential for negative consequences? Would anyone act upon them?
what Barack Obama said he would do to counter Republican attacks “If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun,”
Political rhetoric is ripe for opportunity for such language. Poisonous seeds seem to have become so commonplace in the last few years, no doubt aided and abetted by those wishing to cast their brand of politics as supreme. Responsible communication would serve to keep a civil discourse and keep words from potentially becoming heated emotions or actions out of control. Alas, a very hard thing to do for some, but ultimately necessary to return to a more responsible and dignified society.
Obama: ‘We Bring a Gun’. NYT. 2008.
The Times’s Julie Bosman has more on Mr. Obama’s efforts to show he can do more than give a good speech.
Ironic. We can see how far “a good speech” has taken some.

TC- the MSM has decided not to “remember” this tidbit. How un-PC of those of us non kool-aid addicts to remember these things. I am surprised it hasn’t been scrubbed from the web. Axelrod is slacking.
Thank goodness WSJ decided to resurrect this post from its annals. It is awful politicians must resort to this type of bully talk to incite their followers. It will unfortunately haunt Zer0 for the rest of his life/career. Hopefully, others will learn not to go down this very disrespectful road.
That’s actually a pretty good drawing of Obama.
Look at the bright side….there are signs that the kool aide is wearing off and I didn’t see anything in the health care plan mandating kool-aide vaccinations for adults and children.
Koolaide vaccinations? Hahahahahaha!
Next week, there’s going to be a Obamacare repeal vote in the House. How many Democrats are going to be chastized when they say the Republicans are waging a war on the sick and elderly?
Let the vote go on. The Dems will be grandstanding how a horrible thing it will be, and death and destruction will befall the country, so on, and so on. In reality, things are bad now and only will get worse with BOCare driving up costs of the nanny state to the rest of America, in the form of increased taxes. hey, insurance companies are already raising costs. Nothing is for free.
