  1. That test was exasperating! There were so many questions that I felt I didn’t fit the “mold”. For instance, I believe that SOME government regulation is necessary, but not to the extent that the government is ruling our lives. I also believe that it is a combination of military force AND diplomacy is necessary. Unfortunately, what Obama’s White House calls diplomacy is kowtowing to the Muslim nations and ignoring all others.

Regarding environmental matters, not sure what they mean by “stricter laws”. Which ones? There are some that are good and some that are ridiculous!

Regarding the growing numbers of newcomers either helping or hurting the country. I’m not sure what they mean by “newcomers”. I think our country benefits from some who come to this country. There are many Asians, Germans, Poles, French, Indian, and others who are exemplary workers and highly educated…many who are much more educated than Americans, so they do benefit us when they work here and help our country progress. So, not all newcomers are bad…but then there are those who come here illegally and live off our government, they are harmful. So how do I answer that question if I feel strongly about both answers?

In this test they say I’m “Libertarian” but I don’t believe I am, at all! I think I’m Independent that leans Conservative.

  2. The categories can be as deceptive as the questions. But since they ask which way you lean the most on a question, it is just giving a ballpark idea of where on the political spectrum you rest. Answering one way on a question may counterbalance the answer on another question.

Consider it a very general typology questionnaire.

  3. Agree with Nunly- this particular test tells me I am a “Hard-Pressed Democrat” ROFL- guess that’s as good a description as any. I took one a whole back that said I was a libertarian.
As long as I keep learning and looking and vetting candidates on my own the categories designed by the various companies matters not.
I consider myself to be a Democrat of a different age- the old coalition- now independent.
Pew – should be spelled Pee-EWWWW lol
