Does the ‘Reconciliation’ Gambit Make You Angry? Fox.
Looks like the head Democrat residing in the White House believes his health care legislation agenda is more important than the will of the people.
So even though 52 per cent DISAPPROVE of Health Care Reform per Rasmussen, the egos are set to force their plan on America. With the help of some legislative rules to connive only a simple 51 to 49 majority in the Senate for passage.
Mind you, Barack Obama said himself, he did not want to pass health care reform by the reconciliation loophole. That was beneath him as far back as 2004. But now, when it is looking like he has a only a short time to emblazon his name on something for the history books, the last ditch disreputable effort is thrown into play.

I mean there are a lot of nice perks. But you can’t deliver on healthcare. We are not going to pass universal healthcare with a fifty plus only strategy.
Center for american Progress Conference 07/12/06.
If we want to transform the country though, that requires a sizeable majority.
Phony rhetoric. Those candidates always seem to sing a different tune once annointed and well within the comfort zone away from the commoners.
Guess what. This is how America feels according to one poll when people were asked if reconciliation made them angry.
- 94 % Yes – This is outrageous! They’re using rules to bypass the clear voice of the people – payback in November, guys.
- 2 % No – Not sure, but if they have to resort to rules loopholes to pass a law, doesn’t that indicate that a lot of people oppose it?
- 2 % No – Look, we need health care reform and we need it now. Let’s get started, even if it means using a rules loophole.
- <1 % – Other
Looks like legislators of this day will be taken to task in a mere 9 months. Of their doing.
