Anyone remember this machine?
The mimeograph. The simple copy machine that preceded copiers of the modern age. A stencil you typed or drew was placed on the drum, and then ink would be forced through the stencil to make the copy.
Too bad the fellows in this video don’t actually show what a mess the ink on the drum used to make all over the work area and on the hands of the operator. On the other hand, it isn’t much different than the way toner from copiers of today, can make a huge powdered and staining mess all over the place, when the machine goes on a glitch.
But the process of making copies was straightforward, all with some hand cranking. Wikipedia has more details.
